Vision and Learning Lab led by Prof. Sungchan Kim of Div. Computer Science and Engineering in Jeonbuk National University, Korea. (https://sites.google.com/jbnu.ac.kr/jvl) is actively looking for talented students in computer vision and AI research for the 2023 Spring academic year.
Depending on the student’s experience and interests, the student will start working in one of the following fields with the emphasis on modeling and creating digital humans in 3D space, but are not limited to:
2D/3D pose estimation, 3D shape estimation
Motion and action synthesis in the 3D space
Neural rendering of clothed humans for photorealistic 3D scene creation
Concrete mathematical background and a passion for computer vision and machine learning.
Good verbal/written communication (for daily interaction, e.g., can you explain things to me without jargon or incoherence?)
Good writing skills (e.g. able to write a reasonable abstract or a paper draft)
